Whether you are new to running, or just want to get started with a couch to 5k, or you have been running for a while and want to improve speed or distance, Centurion Running Club is the club for you.

Interested in joining a running club? Centurion Running Club has been around for over 50 years, a friendly club with many members of differing abilities, including blind and disabled members. We welcome runners of all abilities from the 5-minute miler to the steady Sunday jogger, whether you want to participate in competitive races, complete a 5K charity event or just keep fit for fun.

With organised training, from English Athletics qualified coaches, Centurion Running Club can get you from a Parkrun to a Ultra-Marathon. We are very fortunate to have access to the running track at North Solihull Sports Centre, something that a lot of running clubs do not have. Unfortunately, the track is currently being repaired but we’ll be back on it as soon as possible.

The club actively participates in a range of events:

  • During the winter months there is cross-country with both a men’s and women’s section.
  • Then in the summer there are a wide variety of road races including the popular Warwickshire Road Race series.
  • Members compete in many of the major events during the year with up to 20 taking part in the London Marathon.

In addition, the club organises it’s own races and competitions for members of all abilities:

  • Target Zero – Boxing Day (Members Only)
  • Parkrun Cup – April to October (Members Only)
  • Yacht Race Series – April to August (Members Only)
  • Grand Prix Series –  November to April (Members and Non Members)
  • Club Championship – January to December (Members Only)

We have an active social side to the club with organised events including

  • Club Awards Evening,
  • Summer Pub Run
  • Summer Games Day
  • Halloween Pub Run
  • Christmas Pub Run
  • And many other activities including days out walking, cycling and the odd group holiday.

We meet at 18.30 on Tuesday and Thursday at the North Solihull Sports Centre, Conway Road, Chelmsley Wood, Solihull B37 5LA

If you are coming along for the first time then we recommend Tuesday as it is the main club evening. We run sessions for different abilities, if you come to the main Tuesday & Thursday runs its recommended that you can complete a 4 mile easy jog. However, if your not up to that yet,  have other sessions for beginners.

Many club members also run on Sunday mornings arranging in advance meeting times and locations, all are welcome.
